The Best Verse in the Bible

I don't think it is possible to choose the best verse in the Bible, but today our pastor opened the sermon with a scripture that I have highlighted in my Bible and revisit often. The best verse in the Bible is all about timing. It is how the words reach a person at that moment. Today these words spoke to my heart and for today it is the best verse in the Bible.

" Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. " - Philippians 4:6-9

I have spent many days of my life dealing with anxiety. It continues to get better. Rereading this always helps.

  1. God lets me know what to speak on each week, by teaching me things I need to work on in my own life. At the end of the week, I simply type up what God did in my life and put it in the bulletin. What is kind of amusing is that I often have 10-12 pages of notes....and when I teach, I seldom use notes. I just try to reflect what God taught me from the text.   6. I totally agree with this post. THis is one of my favorite verses in the Bible and I also have lived with anxiety most of my life.
