By the time I celebrate my 60th birthday I would like to:
Camp somewhere on the coast in the state of Washington.
Invite all the special women in my life to gather around the table at my house on Lake Roosevelt for a week-end.

Visit The Thousand Islands between New York state and the province of Ontario.
Take a train ride from Spokane to the end of Glacier National Park in Montana.

Return to Stanley and the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho.

Find other writers in my area and start a Writer's Group.

Visit Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada.
Ride a bicycle on the Hiawatha Trail and Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in northern Idaho.
Have a healthy body, mind, and soul so I can enjoy the next sixty years of life.
Strive to take the time each and every day to stop and appreciate the beauty of my world and reflect on my blessings.

Sunday Scribblings: Fearless

When I think of fearless I think of our cat Kit. Since he showed up in our tree to be part of the family last fall I can't think of much that he has been afraid of.He wasn't concerned last week about getting Isabelle out of the bird feeder.
Kit has never feared trees. When it comes to wrestling, he thinks he is a springer spaniel.

The roof is just another place to hang out.

He wasn't even afraid to try a storage basket as a bed and we know he certainly has been fearless when it comes to the camera.
To find other Sunday Scribblings on fearless go here.

Quilt
Our family
is a quilt
of odd remnants
patched together
in a strange
pattern,
threads fraying,
fabric wearing thin-
but made to keep
its warmth
even in bitter
cold.
