What a joy to be able to walk through parts of the yard as the snow pack begins to melt. The statue of the girl reading is now peeking out after a long hibernation. A warm part in one flower bed is giving early life to daffodil bulbs. The cranesbill and snow in summer have turned green as the morning sun brings them back to life. The two fairies in the wedding garden are illuminated by the afternoon sun. My spring bouquet did not come from the garden yet, but a bunch of tulips and daffodils from the store sure gave us hope of what is to come.

ReplyDeleteYour spring bouquet is very pretty. Hope you don't mind but I tagged you for a meme at: http://fireflynights.wordpress.com/2008/03/02/six-things-about-me
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to see signs of spring? Ours are mostly still under the white stuff after more snow storms this week...nothing huge though. We had glorious sunshine today which felt like a little taste of what's to come :)
ReplyDeleteI love your shots of signs of spring through the snow and the garden girl reading is so neat. I need one of those in my garden.
ReplyDeleteAh, the signs of spring.. it's beautiful. I love the fairy girl in the first shot, she must be happy to feel the warmth of the spring sunshine...
ReplyDeletehave your two fairies been covered with snow all this time?
ReplyDeletePrimrose are being displayed at all the grocery stores... I'm going to have to break down and bring some home for my front entry.
I love the images of fairies shaking off the last of the winter snows and emerging into spring!
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait for Spring to really be here!
ReplyDeleteOur daffodils showed themselves just today. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteI finally saw some daffodils today..not in my yard yet tho. I saw them on the way to work this morning. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am more excited that I have ever been to see buds and signs of spring....soon, but still it feels like it is never going to happen.
ReplyDeleteSpring has been here for quite a few weeks now, in between the really cold frosty days and the drizzly days its been warm enough to sit in the garden for a while in T-shirts with a book and a cuppa tea.... today is drizzle and overcast ....
ReplyDeleteI bought a bunch of tuplips last week and a bunch this week.... I so love tuplips in antique jugs :)
