This week the topic on Photo Hunt is narrowWhen I return home from a trip to Kettle Falls, Colville, or Spokane I always travel narrow roads down the highway to my house.Around our area the Columbia River has become Lake Roosevelt, which is the water behind Grand Coulee Dam. You can cross the lake at a narrow bridge close to Kettle Falls or a narrow road to a ferry at Inchelium. Narrow roads, bridges, and ferry ramps are a way of life around me. Right now I am blessed that the snow hasn't stopped any of these options for travel.
Go here for other photo hunters illustrating the theme narrow.
Have a wonderful Weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. If there is an award for Best, you've got my vote...assuming that I have a vote, but that is a whole 'nother can of worms.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to put Lake Roosevelt and the damn on one of my weekend trips this spring. It's been YEARS since I've been over there.
ReplyDeleteThe news reported buildings collapsing from the snow east of Spokane --
I've been reading about all the snow in the news.. take care...
ReplyDeleteThose shots are great for the narrow theme. I imagine when the roads are slick they seem even narrower than at other times. I hope you are making out ok with the storms.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. I've always liked pictures of interesting bridges. When I was a kid growing up in Mississippi there were still plenty of old iron bridges still in use on various county roads. Some of them only one lane and a few with wooden planks to drive on. Fortunately all of them are no longer in use.

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!
Oh, this is nice... I'm glad the nasty weather hasn't been too much of a problem for you... it sure hasn't been too kind to us... hopefully it will warm up now.
ReplyDeleteWe took the Keller Ferry once, but I don't think we've ever been to Inchelium. I showed some narrow passages in our state for this week's hunt, too.
