"This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls." -John Muir

I love the first picture most, and I think it is because there is a variety of color, red, blue, green, cream. . .
ReplyDeleteI love spending the evening just walking around looking at my flowers. Some friends gave us a start of something called a "moonflower"(?) last year. It blooms as the sun is going down. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeletepimd-thanks, I liked that picture also.
ReplyDeleteMommy Dearest- I love the moonflower. You are right- the evening is that perfect time to enjoy our flowers.
Jennifer- I carried mums to three different houses and they are stil with me. Good idea.
Your photos are the high point for me when I read your posts -- well, that and the post.
ReplyDeleteThe quote was wonderful. . .'as the round earth rolls' glad to be reminded of the gloaming.
Your flowers are beautiful in the gloaming!
