Having family visiting over Thanksgiving makes the holiday even better. Today as the snow began to fall Mom and I did a tour of the gardens. She hadn't been to our house for a year. We couldn't believe it had been that long. She took in all the changes, noticing the trees that are gone and the gardens that were tidied up a bit.

Next we toured the greenhouse. Sweet William sneaked into the greenhouse to say hello. Kit was waiting at the door to visit the greenhouse also . One of my favorite times of the year is when it is snowing lightly outside and the greenhouse is warm and full of blooming plants.

I am thankful for the gardening wisdom my mom has passed down to me through the years as she continues to garden vegetables and flowers and I attempt to follow in her footsteps!
It is good to see Mary Woolum and good to see snow (from 2,700 miles).

Very nice. I can do without the snow, though.
ReplyDeleteGardening is great fun, and it is wonderful that
you can share that with your Mother.
MBWhale: Mary says hello and enjoyed reading your blog. The snow was a pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteHi Marmite! We wish you would have been here also.
CSKid: I am glad also that Mom and I share our love for gardening.
Well Mrs. Woolum is partly responsible for my interest in writing, so I place the blame squarely on her.
