Each spring I visit nurseries in search of different types of geraniums. I love unique bloom colors, but also enjoy searching different color combinations in the leaves. The light caught this bloom in a way that it seems to glow. All of these geraniums are moving toward the light in the greenhouse and eager for spring also.
I love this chartreuse and dark green combination in the leaves.
It contrasts well with the creamy color in these leaves.
I still love the look of traditional pink geraniums in a summer basket. For other photo hunts on different go here.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was it looked sort of like a fairy. ;) Yes, we recently saw the Spiderwick Chronicles.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start planting flowers. I'm so ready to see some color in the yard.
I love different geraniums too and I also like to break a leaf on the scented ones for the fragrance. You have some lovely ones.

Always like what I find here .. all the different flowers and colors are exquisite. They fascinate me too.. although I'm a slightly less than amateur flower gardner. I'm a great admirer of them. I had a garden last year with some vegetables (mostly tomatoes) and some flowers.
ReplyDeleteI've asked my husband to till me another spot for my garden this year.. maybe he'll do that in the next few weeks.
So enjoyed the great photos.. take care and happy Sunday!
I like the variety of colours to be found in geraniums, funny though, i always think the bright red ones are the traditional ones...
ReplyDeleteI like their smell and how they feel. Also, their wisdom. I know. They are just very wise and mysterious to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers. How lucky to have a greenhouse. I'm glad you stopped by my place. I am going to read more of your blog now.

I am a great fan of geraniums but for the ordinary ones I love the bright splashy reds. I do like variegated leaved ones too. Thanks for visiting my hunt photo.
ReplyDeleteI like your photographs of the different colors.
ReplyDeleteIt is a reminder that for generations we used to visit this greenhouse and all they ever had one red ones and we always bought new red ones and so did everyone else. That kept the man and his family in business for about 75 years.
Thanks too for your visit to my blog.
I can smell those geranium leaves! yum
ReplyDeletelovely shots!
Thanks for all the nice comments you left on my blog. I hope you'll come visit me again. :)
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have a greenhouse! I love geraniums. The variegated leaved varieties are so pretty, and that pale pink is so delicate. Lovely! I can't wait to see them in baskets, containers and my gardens again!
