Where the sun hits the eastern side of the house we are getting quite a February thaw today. The snow is off the trees and the railing and we can almost see the table that was buried in snow a few days ago.
Under the eaves on the western side of the house it is a different story. Icicles still cling to the evergreen shrub.
Above the door the thick ice holding up a row of icicles that keep growing. Maybe today as it thaws we will find the missing dog toys and other odds and ends that have been buried in the drifts of snow. To find other weekend snapshots go here.

ReplyDeleteAren't Icicles magical in their own way?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! The "Pam" was a bomb after being hit all weekend. Newest tip is a heat strip that you put on the back of dish using that special sticking foam. You make circles and it plugs into a 110 plug. We will let you know. ;)
ReplyDeleteOOOOH you have the same kind of weather we are having. Have lots of those Icicles hanging
ReplyDeleteI had one HUGE icicle off the patio. It must have formed from a leak in the gutter.
ReplyDeleteToday it warmed and the wind blew - and most of our snow is gone. Except for the piles formed from shoveling or plowing.
