Think Like a Tree
I do love taking pictures of trees. I looked back over my blog posts and realized how many I have done on trees. They can take on a character of their own with the help of the camera. I also discovered this poem today. It was a reminder to me of why I like trees.Think Like a Tree

Soak up the sun
Affirm life's magic
Be graceful in the wind
Stand tall after a storm
Feel refreshed after it rains
Grow strong without notice
Be prepared for each season
Provide shelter to strangers
Hang tough through a cold spell
Emerge renewed at the first signs of spring
Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky
Be still long enough to
hear your own leaves rustling.
I do love your collage of trees... that's really neat. What pretty pictures indeed. I am also a big fan of trees.

Wow, what a beautiful poem. I love trees, also, and I always shed a tear when I see a perfectly healthy tree cut down simply because it was "inconvenient" or "in the way." The poem is right -- we should all be a little more like trees and less like lumberjacks.

Trees can have such character and power, or be little wisps swaying in the breeze. I especially like the way the bare branches of an old tree intertwine against a winter sunset. Thank you for sharing the poem.
