Afternoon Shadows In the Greenhouse

Winter is getting long
students are getting cabin fever
today I heard one yell, " I am SICK of snow".
the ice has never melted around my outside door of the classroom,
the ice has turned to a hue of blue.

It's time to load up my bags
return home again
and step into the greenhouse.

I can't think of a lovelier place to spent some time during this end-of-winter funk!

  1. That is so great that you have your greenhouse to throw off the winter blahs. What a beautiful place.

    I am so jealous. I have wanted a greenhouse for ages. The idea of stepping into a place of green when the rest of the world is brown, white and grey sounds like heaven.

  3. I've said the same thing - sick of it! Love your greenhouse. Looks like it'd make a fine bed and breakfast for 'cabin fever' stricken folks. I could bring my own bed. And breakfast.

  4. I bought a teeny one -- just enough to cover the garden space about 8 inches. I guess I won't be walking around in there recovering from the blues. hee hee

  7. I have to go in there every so many days and snap pictures and breathe in the smell. We keep it just above freezing so it isn't yet ready to sit out there. Somebody gave us tulip bulbs for Christmas and knowing we couldn't plant them, we forced them out there. They my be blooming soon!!
