Priest Lake: A Gem of North Idaho

Shelby and Annie exploring the dock at Hill's Resort.

Crossing over into Idaho yesterday we ended up at Priest Lake. Growing up in north Idaho Priest Lake always seemed like this place about a thousand miles away. If you know Idaho geography Kellogg is not that far away from Priest Lake. We just never went there.

We visited lakes closer to home. It was a treat to finally get to appreciate the pristine beauty of another north Idaho lake. The temperature was very cold, but the sunshine made it a beautiful day for photo images.
This morning the mist was rising from the lake as the sun came up over the eastern mountain. It was a peaceful way to begin another fall Sunday.

I live in Sandpoint, just a hop, a skip and a jump from Priest Lake. I don't get there as often as I should. It is a precious spot and you have captured some of its beauty with your camera. Great job!
