It's Time for the Work to Begin

"May and June. Soft syllables, gentle names for the two best months in the garden year: cool, misty mornings gently burned away with a warming spring sun, followed by breezy afternoons and chilly nights. The discussion of philosophy is over; it's time for work to begin." - Peter Loewer May also bring the unforgettable fragrance of lilacs, and the combination of bleeding hearts and late blooming tulips,

and geraniums ready to breathe the outside air.

  1. Can you believe we have lilacs already? Crazy, crazy year. Looks like you have raised beds?

  2. Here in New England our lilacs are just blooming also. Don't you love their scent - I love to stick my nose into the blossoms and just inhale deeply. I am staying home today to work in my gardens - hoefully the rain will hold off. I am a beginner gardener and I thoroughly enjoy looking at your gardening pictures. Enjoy your weekend.
